Trent Keisler and Bradford Allen provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Coastal HomeSchool. The connection went for 57 yards, the longest such play in Lowcountry-Piedmont (8 Man) this season.
The Hurricanes extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating First Baptist, 64-56. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
The Hurricanes' dynamic duo of Keisler and Allen proved tough for the Hurricanes to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Keisler threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns and Allen had 68 yards receiving. Alex Frazier helped First Baptist's passing attack out by catching one ball for 26 yards.
Spencer Houston was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 297 yards on 32 carries as Coastal HomeSchool lost to Coastal HomeSchool.
6-foot-2 quarterback Gunnar Gibson of the Hurricanes is the league leader in passing yards this season with 976. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. On the ground, Will McCombs' team's Frazier has rushed for 1704 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Allen. The First Baptist star has 27 catches for 669 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Fountain Inn Christian and Abundant Life Academy. Fountain Inn Christian enters the contest ranked 10th in the state, while Abundant Life Academy ranks 21st.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Fountain Inn Christian takes on Brock Vaigneur's team. Fountain Inn Christian has allowed 248 points this season, while Abundant Life Academy has given up 166. Fountain Inn Christian allowed 22 points last week as it defeated South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind.
There should be lots of points scored when Coastal HomeSchool and the Hurricanes face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Hurricanes comes in having scored 428 this season, while First Baptist has scored 558. Coastal HomeSchool scored 64 points last week as it bested the Hurricanes.
Fountain Inn Christian took down the Hornets 58-22 last week, the largest margin of any game.
