Basketball Game Preview: School of the Woods Wildcats vs. Bob Hope Eagles

The School of the Woods Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Bob Hope Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. School of the Woods is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.

School of the Woods is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Annapolis Christian Academy just ended the team's 14-game winning streak on Saturday. The match between them and the Warriors didn't end well, with School of the Woods falling 66-47. The Wildcats were down 54-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kieran Knight, who posted 11 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukka Monteagudo, who had 11 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Bob Hope had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-38 victory over the Lions. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Bob Hope is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for School of the Woods, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-3.

School of the Woods came up short against Bob Hope in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 62-50. Can School of the Woods avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
