Last Friday, Valley couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 0-36 defeat at the hands of Laguna Creek. Valley were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-27.
Meanwhile, Chavez took care of business in their home opener. They blew past Mountain House 30-3.
Valley's loss took them down to 0-1 while Chavez's victory pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for Valley would reverse both their bad luck and Chavez's good luck. We'll see if Valley manages to pull off that tough task or if Chavez keeps their momentum going instead.
