Basketball Recap: Badin's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Badin waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 51-41 victory over the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

Despite the defeat, Archbishop McNicholas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grant Waters went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrit Gunter, who posted three points.

Badin's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Badin will take on Northwest in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they and Walnut Hills will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
