Harvest Community hasn't had much luck against Eagle's View recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Harvest Community will venture away from home to challenge Eagle's View at 6:00 p.m. Harvest Community is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Harvest Community will bounce into Thursday's match after beating St. Johns Country Day, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Harvest Community had just enough and edged out St. Johns Country Day 9-8 on Tuesday.
Rebekah Harmer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Harmer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-5. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Marley Elliott was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Julia Foti was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Eagle's View fell victim to Wolfson and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 17-0. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Wolfpack recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Harvest Community pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Eagle's View, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Harvest Community has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eagle's View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Harvest Community's way against Eagle's View in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Harvest Community made off with a 19-7 victory.
