The Ware Shoals Hornets are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Chester Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Ware Shoals humbled South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind with a 56-10 victory. The victory was just what Ware Shoals needed coming off of a 73-50 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ware Shoals to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasir Farhan, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Brayden Medlin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Chester entered their tilt with Fairfield Central with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Chester managed a 51-45 victory over Fairfield Central on Friday.
The win got Ware Shoals back to even at 4-4. As for Chester, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
Ware Shoals was able to grind out a solid victory over Chester in their previous meeting back in November, winning 78-69. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ware Shoals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
