Hamilton is 8-2 against Desert Vista since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Huskies will head out to challenge the Thunder at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hamilton barely beat Corona del Sol the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies put the hurt on the Aztecs with a sharp 13-2 victory on Tuesday. 13 seems to be a good number for the Huskies as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Izzy Estevez looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Madison Sauni was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Briley Pinks, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Hamilton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Mountain View typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Desert Vista proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Toros. The victory was familiar territory for the Thunder, who have now won four games in a row.
The team relied heavily on Mckenzie Leitgen, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiya Amato, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Hamilton is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Desert Vista, their record is now 19-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Hamilton hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Desert Vista struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Hamilton took their victory against Desert Vista in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 13-1 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
