The Franklinton Rams won against the Bunn Wildcats last Tuesday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Franklinton enjoyed a cozy 62-48 win over the Wildcats. The win made it back-to-back wins for Franklinton.
It was another big night for Markelle Massenburg, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sean Smith, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Bunn still got an impressive performance from Jameir Strickland, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kheon Bradberry, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Franklinton pushed their record up to 8-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Bunn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklinton will take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bunn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in North Carolina (Southern Nash is ranked 442nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 439th).
