Madison has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Lee Volunteers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Madison lost to the Rattlers at home by a decisive 61-43 margin.
The losing side was boosted by Evan Moreno, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Pierre, who scored six points.
Lee can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Marshall by a score of 63-50. Given Lee's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Rams are ranked 839th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Madison has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 21-12 record this season. As for Lee, their win bumped their record up to 21-11.
Madison didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Volunteers in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 60-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
