Last Tuesday, Metro suffered a tough 74-52 loss at the hands of North County Christian. Metro was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 76-27 defeat at the hands of Edwardsville.
Metro's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-2. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Metro didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 72-66 victory.
