After flying high against the West Lauderdale Knights last Friday, the Terry Bulldogs came back down to earth. Terry fell just short of West Jones by a score of 44-41.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marleya Myers, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elisiah Branson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Terry's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for West Jones, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terry will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Hattiesburg at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Hattiesburg is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for West Jones, they will head out on the road to face off against Pearl River Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pearl River Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while West Jones is ranked 31st).
