The Queen Creek Bulldogs suffered their biggest defeat since November 24, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 62-14 loss at the hands of Desert Ridge. Queen Creek has not had much luck with Desert Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Kaycee Steinke was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Desert Ridge. Another player making a difference was Hannah Mask, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Queen Creek has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Desert Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen Creek will square off against Boulder Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boulder Creek has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Desert Ridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Camelback at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Camelback will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Desert Ridge is ranked 81st).
