The Rudyard Bulldogs will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Manistique Emeralds on Wednesday. Rudyard knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Manistique likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, everything went Rudyard's way against Brimley as Rudyard made off with a 72-48 victory. Given Rudyard's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Brimley is ranked 415th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Manistique lost to Negaunee on the road by a decisive 61-42 margin on Tuesday.
Rudyard's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. As for Manistique, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
