While Mamou didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let the Marksville Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Mamou and bumps their season record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Marksville, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Coming up, Mamou will be playing in front of their home fans against Merryville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merryville will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Mamou surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marksville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Marksville Tigers face off against Buckeye Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckeye's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Marksville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
