Custer won the last time they faced Little Wound, and things went their way on Friday, too. Everything went Custer's way against Little Wound as they made off with a 41-12 win. Custer was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Custer's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 35 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Little Wound couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. Custer were outperformed in the second half 6-12 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the game. The victory bumped their record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Little Wound's record to 0-1.
Next week, Custer take on Stanley County at 4:00 PM. Custer continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest. As for Little Wound, they will face off against Lead-Deadwood.
