If the Life Prep Fire were feeling good off their 71-36 takedown of the Frontenac Raiders on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Life Prep took a 71-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Webb City on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Life Prep in their matchups with Webb City: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Life Prep still got an impressive performance from Arthur Videira, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Videira has scored all season. Laterro Young was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Life Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Webb City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Life Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Moravian Prep at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Moravian Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Life Prep in their respective states (Moravian Prep is ranked first in North Carolina, while Life Prep is ranked 46th in Kansas). As for Webb City, they will head out on the road to take on Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
