Amherst came out on top against Niobrara/Verdigre on Saturday thanks in part to Mackenzie Cochran's efforts. Cochran had three digs and two aces, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Coming up, Cochran and Amherst will challenge Cross County at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cochran has dominated as far as assists are concerned (she's averaged 14.1 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering the Cougars have only allowed 23.38 per game this season.
