Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Arcanum's Third in Last Four Outings

Arcanum had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Dixie on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Greyhounds a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Arcanum has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Dixie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Arcanum and Dixie will both be playing Brookville the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Greyhounds will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
