1A Nisqually - Division 2 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Chimacum led 1A Nisqually - Division 2 in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Coupeville. Alex Morris threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns and ran for eight yards in the win.
The Cowboys' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Melvin Thornton chipped in 146 yards.
Kolby Schreier was the best wideout in the league this week as Chimacum bested the Wolves. Schreier racked up four receptions for 136 yards.
Charles Wright's Fritz Jacobson and Beau Iverson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jacobson has thrown for 693 yards this season, while Iverson, a 6-foot-8 receiver, has 10 catches for 214 yards. Shawn Meacham's team's Thornton leads the league in rushing yards with 1277.
Thornton broke off the longest rushing play in 1A Nisqually - Division 2 this week with a 60-yard scamper against Coupeville.
