Torrey Pines's Chase Pickwell rumbled for the longest rushing play in Palomar this season in his game against Mt. Carmel last week. Pickwell scampered for 64 yards on the play and finished with 96 on the day as his team beat the Sundevils.
Ramona extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Orange Glen, 45-36. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Bulldogs.
Ivy Adair was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 32 carries, he ran for 354 yards as Rancho Bernardo topped Mt. Carmel. Niko Greub also contributed to the rushing game with 70 yards on the ground.
Hunter McHargue put up the best numbers through the air as Ramona defeated the Patriots. He finished with seven completions for 116 yards and two touchdowns. McHargue's favorite target this week was Brandon Fitzpatrick, who caught two passes for 36 yards.
Bailey was the best wideout in Palomar this week as Scott Ashby's team beat John Anderson's team. Bailey tallied two receptions for 40 yards. Nolan Weinberg helped Torrey Pines' passing attack out by catching three balls for 34 yards.
Rancho Bernardo's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Broncos feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Michael Searson has thrown for 643 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Charles Ensley has 24 catches for 252 yards. Adair leads the league in rushing with 752 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Damon Baldwin's team takes on the Broncos. The Bulldogs' offense has recorded 126 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Rancho Bernardo has permitted only 155 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Falcons take on Poway. As it stands, Torrey Pines is in third, while the Titans are in fourth.
