The Valley Patriots can now show off 18 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 54-16 win over Groom. The victory was familiar territory for Valley who now have 30 in a row.
Valley was led to victory by Trinity Schlueter and Reese Cruse. Schlueter scored 18 points along with three steals, while Cruse almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Schlueter hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Laney Edwards, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Valley's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Groom, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
Valley is on the road again on Friday and plays Hedley at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hedley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Groom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
