The Dorchester Longhorns will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Pawnee City Indians at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Dorchester has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Pawnee City will arrive with seven straight wins.
Last Friday, Dorchester had to suffer through a rough 54-17 loss at the hands of Parkview Christian.
Meanwhile, Pawnee City humbled Meridian with a 51-15 victory. The result was nothing new for Pawnee City, who have now won six matchups by 31 points or more so far this season.
Pawnee City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jett Farwell out in front who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Anthony Kling was another key contributor, gaining 101 total yards and two touchdowns.
Pawnee City's win bumped their season record to 7-0 while Dorchester's loss dropped theirs to 1-6.
Dorchester was taken down by Pawnee City 50-20 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Dorchester, Andy Maloley (who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
