Leadore's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dane Piippo, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Herbst, who scored eight points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Challis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ramey Rhoades, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Brayden Ollar was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Leadore has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Challis, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leadore will face off against Grace Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
