Colorado Academy has gone a perfect 9-0 against Prospect Ridge Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Miners at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Colorado Academy 2.2, Prospect Ridge Academy 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Riley Summers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Will McCandless also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Prospect Ridge Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Liberty Common with a sharp 14-2 victory on Monday. Considering the Miners have won four matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Avery Stark was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Zeke Bote was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Prospect Ridge Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Isiac Rodriguez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Prospect Ridge Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Common only posted an OBP of .300.
Prospect Ridge Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Colorado Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Colorado Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Prospect Ridge Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Colorado Academy skirted past Prospect Ridge Academy 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Miners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
