Germantown Academy moved up to 169 from 200 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Inter-Academic. A 31-6 win over Pennington helped the Patriots improve their standing.
Haverford School's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brendan Burke threw for 150 yards and Chris Morgan had 54 yards receiving. On the ground Joshua Walker chipped in 78 yards. Darren Watson helped Haverford School's passing attack out by catching one ball for 27 yards.
6-foot-3 quarterback Adam Strouss of Episcopal Academy is the league leader in passing yards this season with 559. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, the Fords' Matt Galambos has rushed for 328 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Morgan. The Haverford School star has 21 catches for 340 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Episcopal Academy takes on second place William Penn Charter. The Churchmen last week, while William Penn Charter.
