The Cedar Creek Pirates will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Winslow Township Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Cedar Creek got themselves on the board against Oakcrest, but Oakcrest never followed suit. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 13-0.
Cedar Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aamir Dunbar out in front who rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown. Dunbar is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Smith, who threw for 205 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Winslow Township really took it to Burlington Township for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-20 win at home. The result was nothing new for Winslow Township, who have now won four matches by 29 points or more so far this season.

Cedar Creek has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in six of their first eight contests, giving them a 6-2 record. As for Winslow Township, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2.
Cedar Creek suffered a grim 28-7 defeat to Winslow Township in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Cedar Creek, James Wilson jr (who threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
