Trey Greenwell Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Decatur's Trey Greenwell, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Greenwell made nine total tackles and defended a pass. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.
On the season, Greenwell has averaged 6.1 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one receiving touchdown. This year he is already up to two.

Athens Gets a Boost from Gross in 21-19 Loss
While Athens might've come up empty on Friday, Brogan Gross wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Gross was still balling out as he threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Athens and nudges their season record down to 5-2. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Golden Eagles dukes it out withColumbia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Keeping Gross company is Endymion Tyus, a fellow Athens player. He picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending a pass.
For the year, Tyus has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 57.8 receiving yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Cayden Oliver Leads Decatur over Mae Jemison
On Thursday, Decatur had to settle for second even though Cayden Oliver put up the best numbers he has all season. Oliver wasn't messing around, forcing two fumbles and making 15 total tackles. The contest was his ninth straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
On the year, Oliver has averaged 11.2 total tackles per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.5 total tackles per game.

Isaiah Allen Has Career-Day on Thursday
Isaiah Allen posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Thursday. He rushed for 96 yards on only ten carries.
For the season, Allen has averaged 28.9 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 15.43 rushing yards per game.
