Archbishop Hannan (Covington, La.) beat
Springfield (La.) 45-21 after a strong game from
Michael Froeba, who rushed for four touchdowns. The scores gave the senior five touchdowns for the year.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Payton Hudson in the second quarter, the Hawks led 10-7 at the half.
Archbishop Hannan grew its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. AH scored four times in the third, including once on a Froeba touchdown run.
A 7-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Covington school, as it pushed the final margin of victory to 24.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Hawks, who lost to Aquinas last week, 34-20. The defeat comes as a step back for Springfield, who notched a 52-6 victory over Mt. Hermon in its previous outing. The loss ended Springfield's two-game winning streak.
