The Landstown Eagles suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a tough 56-31 loss at the hands of Bayside. Landstown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bayside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jessie Ware led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Ware is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Rayani Jones was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Landstown's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for Bayside, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Landstown will look to defend their home court on Friday against Salem at 7:00 p.m. As for Bayside, they will head out on the road to face off against First Colonial at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
