The Whitesboro Bearcats will head out on the road to challenge the Paradise Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Whitesboro is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Whitesboro posted their biggest win since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 50-20 victory over S & S Consolidated.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Paradise's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 42-35 to Ponder.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Morgan Mitschke, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Gazey Yates was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Whitesboro's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-14. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Paradise, their loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7.
Whitesboro was dealt a bruising 52-25 defeat at the hands of Paradise in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Yates, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
