King's Academy have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Lee Academy at 7:30 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against King's Academy, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
There's no need to mince words: King's Academy lost to Florence Christian two weeks ago, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 21-56. King's Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior David Russell, who caught passes for 126 yards and picked up 61 yards on the ground.
Meanwhile, Lee Academy made easy work of Dillon Christian last Friday and carried off a 28-7 victory.
Lee Academy's win lifted them to 3-0 while King's Academy's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Lee Academy can add another positive mark to their record or if King's Academy can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Lee Academy's step.
