The Catholic Central Crusaders can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past La Salle Institute 84-52 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Catholic Central sure is getting used to it with their 18th in a row.
Darien Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 14 times he's played. Qwameik Smith was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Catholic Central pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for La Salle Institute, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will take on Schalmont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Catholic Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for La Salle Institute, they will play host again and welcome Ichabod Crane, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully La Salle Institute is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in New York (they are ranked 21st, while Ichabod Crane is ranked 137th).
