It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Shasta Wolves can now relate to. The matchup between the Wolves and the Vikings wasn't particularly close, with the Wolves falling 43-29. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for ten points.
Despite the loss, Shasta still got an impressive performance from Justin Polley, who threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Lucas Benson went supernova for Pleasant Valley, rushing for 160 yards and four touchdowns. Damian Nava was another key contributor, rushing for 53 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Shasta's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pleasant Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Shasta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pleasant Valley will head out on the road to face off against Chico at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. Chico will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
