The Pitman Panthers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Pennsville Memorial with a sharp 35-14 victory on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Pitman just coasted through the last quarter.
Despite the loss, Pennsville Memorial saw an underclassman step up: Robert Mcdade rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
Pitman now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pennsville Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pitman will challenge Collingswood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Collingswood is ranked 233rd, while Pitman is ranked 211th). Pennsville Memorial will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against New Egypt at 6:30 p.m. on October 26th. New Egypt comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
