Fairland Gets a Boost from Schertz in 55-6 Victory
Starting off the list is Fairland's Carson Schertz, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Schertz threw for 366 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Fairland's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
Fairland's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. Schertz and Fairland will head out on the road to challenge Hominy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A Season-Best Performance from Justin Johnson Leads Ketchum over Barnsdall
Justin Johnson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Ketchum to the win on Friday. Johnson rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
Ketchum's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. They and Porter are set to duel on Thursday.

Trey Bennett Turns in Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns
Woodland was led to victory by Trey Bennett, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Bennett threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Woodland's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Bennett will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Afton on Thursday.

Trey'von Shine Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Porter was led to victory by Trey'Von Shine, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Shine rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 88-yard run.
Porter's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. They and Ketchum are set to duel on Thursday.
