The North Posey Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Heritage Hills Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Posey had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Evansville Day, posting a 70-40 win on the road.
North Posey's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Austin Schmitt, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Graff, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Heritage Hills waltzed into Saturday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 53-47 win over Evansville Christian.
Trent Sisley was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Jake Prior was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
North Posey's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Heritage Hills, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
North Posey came up short against Heritage Hills in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 51-46. Can North Posey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
