It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Attica Red Ramblers can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 42-39. Attica was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2015.
Rossville found their leader in underclassman Addi Gorbett, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Allie Elliott, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Attica has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Rossville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-10.
Attica does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rossville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Clinton Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 17 games.
