The Highland Prep Honey Badgers can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They put the hurt on Northland Prep Academy with a sharp 73-47 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Highland Prep.
Kohen Hill was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius McKnight, who scored six points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Northland Prep Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylan Mortensen, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Mortensen is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Ian Karren was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Highland Prep has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Northland Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
Highland Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Glendale Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Highland Prep is on a three-game streak of home wins, Glendale Prep Academy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Northland Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
