Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tremont). They blew past the Ridgeview Mustangs 82-61 on Tuesday. Given the Turks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Mustangs are ranked 459th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tremont has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Ridgeview, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tremont will face off against Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgeview, they will square off against Cornerstone Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Cornerstone Christian likes a good challenge.
