Buffalo is a perfect 6-0 against Hannan since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bison will host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Hannan took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Buffalo, who comes in off a win.
Buffalo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Poca get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Bison in their matchups with the Dots: they've now won four in a row.
Evan Panaro made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 11 games.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caiden Craig, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luca Signorini, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Buffalo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hannan was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Teays Valley Christian.
Hayden Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. Ian Chaffin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Hannan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Buffalo, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-7.
Buffalo took their win against Hannan in their previous matchup back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 17-4 score. Will the Bison repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
