It was a good run, but  the Lewis-Palmer Rangers unfortunately witnessed the end of their  six-game winning streak on Thursday. Their  tough  62-36 defeat to Air Academy  might stick with them for a while. Lewis-Palmer has struggled against Air Academy recently, as their  match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 Lewis-Palmer's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kendall Lane, who  scored six points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals.  Brooke Lordino was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
  Caitlin Kramer was  her usual excellent self,  scoring 21 points along with three  steals and three  blocks for Air Academy. Kramer has been hot recently, having posted two or more  blocks the last five times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lydia Flowers, who  scored 14 points along with eight  assists.
 Lewis-Palmer's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-4. As for Air Academy, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
 Lewis-Palmer will head out on the road to  challenge  Cheyenne Mountain at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Cheyenne Mountain will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Lewis-Palmer is ranked 53rd). As for Air Academy, they will be playing at home against Palmer at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
