While losing is never fun, Auburn Hills Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while Bloomfield Christian School is ranked 55th).
Bloomfield Christian School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua Backos out in front who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The contest was Backos' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Thomas, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds.
Auburn Hills Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bloomfield Christian School, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Auburn Hills Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washtenaw Christian Academy on January 12, 2024. As for Bloomfield Christian School, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakdale Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
