On the mound, Velasquez struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Meanwhile, Frisk pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Velasquez a new career-high. Valley is undefeated when Frisk posts two or more runs, but 2-10 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Brown, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI.
Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
