With a playoff game on the line, the West Adams Panthers rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Cougars as they made off with a 64-43 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for West Adams.
Middle College's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lebron Hasan, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Josiah Anderson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds.
West Adams' victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Middle College, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
West Adams has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Carson at 5:00 p.m. on February 9th. Carson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 354 points over their last six contests. Middle College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
