When it comes to explaining why Elliot Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeremy Nielsen. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with five assists and three steals. Nielsen continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jayden Gaither was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 14 rebounds and six blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Big Valley Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Titus Beers, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Titus Boone, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and five steals.
Elliot Christian's loss was their 12th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-12. As for Big Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.
Elliot Christian will head out on the road to challenge Millennium at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Big Valley Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Turlock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Turlock Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1242nd, while Big Valley Christian is ranked 600th).
