The Ridgeline Falcons won the last time they faced the Mead Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Ridgeline managed a 58-53 victory over Mead. Given Ridgeline's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Mead is ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ridgeline's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caden Andreas, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Allred, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Ridgeline and bumps their season record up to 13-4. As for Mead, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Ridgeline will head out on the road to square off against Gonzaga Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gonzaga Prep will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Mead, they will be playing at home against Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses for Central Valley and three for Mead.
