Basketball Recap: Central of Coosa County Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Central of Coosa County faced off against Dadeville on Tuesday. The Central of Coosa County Cougars walked away with a 63-51 victory over the Dadeville Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-48 back in December of 2024.

Central of Coosa County found their leader in freshman Kaleb Ballard, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ballard has scored all season. Lacorrian Thompson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Central of Coosa County's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Dadeville, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Central of Coosa County will venture away from home to face off against Childersburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central of Coosa County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Dadeville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beulah at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dadeville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
