The Springville Red Devils will face off against the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springville knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Maple Mountain likes a good challenge.
Springville is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Skyridge just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Jaz Ciliezar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Tyler Haveron was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Maple Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over Cedar Valley on Thursday.
Gracie Jensen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on McClain Carter, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kyla Donegan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Maple Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 12-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Maple Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Springville, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Springville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .477. However, it's not like Maple Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .463. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Springville's way against Maple Mountain when the teams last played back in April, as Springville made off with a 13-2 win. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
