Meanwhile, Liberty Baptist Academy came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Sidewinders get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Knights' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Like Beaver Dam, Liberty Baptist Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Angelo Tatonetti. On the mound, Tatonetti pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ryan Campbell tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Tatonetti has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Tatonetti got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Campbell went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Beaver Dam has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .487. However, it's not like Liberty Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .515. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Beaver Dam suffered a grim 16-2 defeat to Liberty Baptist Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Diamondback avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
