Basketball Recap: Castlewood Piles Up the Points Against Oldham-Ramona/R

Castlewood's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Oldham-Ramona/R Rutland 65-29. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Castlewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Ruml, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Cydni Kudrna was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to nine assists and five rebounds.

Castlewood was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

With the win, Castlewood broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7. As for Oldham-Ramona/R, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Castlewood will host Colman-Egan at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Colman-Egan will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Castlewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oldham-Ramona/R, they will take on Dupree at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Oldham-Ramona/R is facing Dupree at the right time seeing as Dupree is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
